When additional work may be needed
A piano that is significantly below standard pitch may require a pitch raise before fine tuning. Repairs, regulation and replacement parts are quoted separately after assessment.

Piano tuning questions
How often should a piano be tuned?
Most home pianos benefit from tuning once or twice a year. New pianos, frequently played instruments and pianos affected by humidity may need more frequent service.
What is a pitch raise?
When a piano is significantly below standard pitch, a preliminary pitch correction may be needed before fine tuning. The need and price are explained before extra work begins.
Should a piano be tuned after moving?
Usually yes. Allowing several days to two weeks for the piano to adjust to its new environment is often helpful, depending on humidity and conditions.
Do you tune both upright and grand pianos?
Yes. Service is available for upright and grand pianos in homes, studios and other suitable locations.
