About the Founder
Even Wang is originally from China and has worked in piano tuning and technical service since 2015. He currently works as a full-time piano technician at Sunshine Music Shop in Canada.
His professional background includes Pearl River piano technician training, piano tuner coursework through the Central Conservatory of Music, and senior piano tuner qualifications. He has participated in more than 10,000 piano service visits involving tuning, inspection, repair, piano selection, moving coordination, tools and technician training.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should a piano be tuned?
Most pianos benefit from 1–2 tunings per year. New pianos, pianos in active use by students, and pianos moved recently may need more frequent visits.
What is the difference between regular tuning and pitch correction?
A standard tuning brings the piano up to pitch and holds it. Pitch correction is needed when the piano has dropped well below A=440 and must be raised in a separate pass before fine tuning can be stable.
How much does a pitch raise cost?
Pitch-raise pricing depends on how far the piano is below standard pitch, string tension and overall condition. After assessing the piano, we explain any additional charge and obtain approval before beginning extra work.
Can you inspect a used piano before I buy it?
Yes. We assess condition, tuning stability, wear, internal parts and any hidden issues for a flat $100 fee, and give you an honest summary before you commit to the purchase.
Do you provide piano moving?
Yes. GTA piano moves start from $300. We provide or coordinate professional moves with proper equipment and padding, and can arrange tuning after the piano arrives.
How long should I wait before tuning after moving?
Pianos need time to settle after a move — typically a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on climate. We can advise based on your situation and schedule the follow-up tuning.
Who can apply for technician training?
Anyone with a strong interest in pianos, mechanics and working with hands is welcome to inquire. We review background, motivation and fit for the program on a case-by-case basis.
Can permanent residents apply for training funding?
Eligible Canadian permanent residents may be able to apply for third-party or publicly funded training support. Funding is not automatic, and eligibility is not guaranteed. Availability, location requirements and approval depend on the applicable program and individual assessment.
Do graduates receive job opportunities?
We provide mentorship, real practice exposure and introductions to tools, parts and industry connections. We do not guarantee employment, specific job placement or income, and outcomes depend on the graduate's own effort and local demand.
